Rainbow Children

The Rainbow Children are from leprosy colonies, orphaned or homeless and found begging on railway platforms. Since 2004 they have been given a home with loving carers, the chance to go to school and to train for an occupation or for further education.

In 2005 the children moved into a permanent building, DMC House, donated by an Englishman in memory of his wife.

In 2010, as the children grew older, the boys moved into The Rainbow Boys Home.

Ledbury House

Growing boys needed more space so in 2015
the oldest boys moved into the new Ledbury
House.

We have 88 Rainbow Children, between 6 and 21 years of age, going to private schools and colleges, with four in University, all getting regular medical and social care.

The children go on visits locally and to the beach and parks in Vizakhapatnam for their annual picnic.

At Christmas they have a special party and receive
new clothes and presents.
